Lakeville Area Public Schools Independent School District 194 offers an award winning school system in the southern area of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, Minnesota. Educating more than 10,800 students across 86 square miles of coverage in Dakota and Scott Counties, the district houses eight elementary schools, three middle schools, two high schools, a virtual school, an area learning center, and two additional community education facilities.

Communities served by the district include the majority of Lakeville, portions of Burnsville and Elko New Market as well as parts of the townships of Eureka, Credit River, and New Market.

In June of 2017, Lakeville Area Public Schools was honored to receive a $29,899 grant from the PrairieCare Child and Family Fund to support the district’s endeavors to integrate district-wide social-emotional learning.
